Exmouth United 4-0 Central City

Exmouth United Under 12s were 4-0 winners against Central City in a match where they dominated throughout.

United started strongly with some neat passing moves and it was not long before they broke away and hit the post through striker Kuba Strzalkowski. However, both sides attacked effectively and the Exmouth keeper Lewis Alford was called upon to make some excellent stops from distance. After an exciting first 20 minutes, Dylan Mogford slipped a pass to Strzalkowski who finished cleanly to put the home side ahead.

In the second half United pressed the visitors back and their efforts were well rewarded. The defensive line of Harry Kifli-Reynolds, Harry Bassett and Tom Price were faultless and their organisation allowed the attacking players to play with freedom. Firstly, Jay Leballeur scored from wide with a free kick. Cayleb Field followed it up running from the halfway line and striking the ball cleanly past the keeper. Finn Glanfield demonstrated great skill with a fantastic dribble that took him past three opponents before unleashing a shot just wide of the post. Then Lewis Evans completed the scoring when he slipped through and fired the ball into the net.

This superb team effort showed how hard the Exmouth United players work for each other.

Exmouth United 2-3 Central United

Another bright and crisp October Saturday morning down at the Cricket Club witnessed Exmouth facing up to Central United. The visitors started strongly and were 2 up after 20 minutes. However, Exmouth grew in confidence and made a number of chances before half-time.

Their endeavour was repaid by two great runs and finishes from Kuba Strzalkowski to make it all square. Things were finely poised until Central seized on a loose ball in the box and scored the winner. It was a disappointing end for Exmouth after such as impressive second half. Seb Harrison was instrumental in the comeback with some exceptional wing play and defending.

The Exmouth United Under 12s squad

Exmouth started strongly in the second half and began creating chances as the midfield got their passing game into gear. Striker Kuba Strzalkowski made a number of skillful runs and was rewarded with an equaliser. This set the tone for the half in which Strzalkowski bagged a hatrick and could have had more had it not been from some excellent defending from Broadclyst. Lewis Evans volleyed in from a corner to make it 5-2 before the hosts got one back near the end. United goalkeeper Lewis Alford was solid throughout making a number of decent saves and defender Harry Kifli-Reynolds was instrumental in keeping the hosts at bay.

This was the result United needed to kick-start their season in Division 2.
