West Hill Wasps 1-6 Exmouth United

Superb, outstanding, unstoppable and United!

Once again Exmouth United came up with some wonderful football when they travelled to West Hill Wasps to face a team that knocked them out of the cup. Starting the match kicking uphill United began well with crisp and composed passing from back to front. It wasn't long before Finn Glanfield met a pass from Lewis Evans to unleash a fabulous drive that gave the keeper no chance. It was Evans again whose clearance set up Kuba Strzalkowski who ran through and shot to make it 2-0.

Meanwhile, West Hill showed promise up front and would have levelled if it wasn't for some excellent goalkeeping from Lewis Alford and a goal-line block from Owen Brady.

Exmouth stepped things up in the second half. Winger Bryn Stephens delivered an excellent corner and Evans rose to score a fantastic header into the corner of the net. Yet again the superb Evans drove down the left wing, beating two defenders, before cutting it back to Cayleb Field who passed the ball home for four. Next Stephens crossed another time and Evans bagged his second with a fine half-volley. For the last United goal Evans returned the favour and set up Stephens and struck it past the keeper.

Seb Harrison, Harry Bassett, Owen Brady, Tom Price, Jack Greaves, Harry Kifli-Reynolds and Dylan Mogford also contributed with some powerful defensive work and excellent passing.

Overall, another great performance from Exmouth with the stand-out effort from Lewis Evans with 4 assists and 2 goals.
